Do you dispose of the rubbish
We will remove all rubbish generated by the company and for a small charge we can arrange a full cleaning service

Do you offer a guarantee for all works carried out by Tim Chugg Electrical Ltd
Tim Chugg Electrical Ltd. Is an NICEIC Approved Contractor which means that the Company must provide the appropriate certification for all works completed, giving you, the client complete reassurance. In addition the Company offer a two year warranty on materials supplied and fitted by the Company, excluding items subject to wear and tear e.g. light bulbs

Do you provide certification
Tim Chugg Electrical Ltd. is an NICEIC Approved Contractor which means that the Company must provide the appropriate certification for all works completed, giving you, the client complete reassurance.

Are you Part P registered
Part P is legislation that covers domestic installations in specific locations (e.g. kitchen and bathrooms and exterior works) and major alterations (e.g. additional circuits or new consumer units).

Tim Chugg Electrical Ltd. is an NICEIC Approved Contractor which means that the Company must provide the appropriate certification for all works completed including commercial work and inspection and testing, giving you, the client complete reassurance.

How much disruption will there be?
We appreciate that some electrical work can be disruptive so we ensure that you are fully aware of the situation prior to starting the works. We always ensure that your furniture is protected with dust sheets and aim to leave your premises as we found it, unless agreed otherwise.

Will I have power during the works?
We try to minimize the time you are without power, but there may be time when it is unavoidable. We assess your needs and try to provide you with limited power throughout the works e.g. kettle, refrigerator.

Do you install customer supplied light fittings?
We will install light fittings supplied by the client as long as they meet current regulations

Do you repair white goods/appliances?
We are unable to repair white goods/appliances as this is a specialist job. We recommend you contact the manufacturer and if this is unsuccessful, call or email the company and we will try to provide you with a suitable contact.

Do you supply and fit burglar alarms?
We can provide the initial cabling for the system; but we do not supply burglar alarms as they require specialist fitting. However we are happy to liaise with a qualified individual to ensure compatibility with home integrated systems e.g. security surveillance

Are you happy to work and liaise with other trades?
Yes we are very happy to liaise with certified trades people where there is a project plan so that the works are coordinated effectively and efficiently.

How often should I have my electrics tested?
Electrical testing of a building should be carried out every 10 years unless a competent electrician states otherwise; in certain situations it may be appropriate to undertake more regular inspections. At Tim Chugg Electrical Ltd we undertake a risk assessment and provide you with a recommendation on the frequency of periodic testing.

The next test date should always be clearly specified on the consumer unit or the test certificate; if there is no indication as to when the last test was conducted we recommend that a test is carried out immediately.
